Health: Do you get carried away by inertia?

In health matters, are you on top of it or do you allow yourself to be carried away by inertia? This is a common way of relapsing back to the original problem.

When it comes to your health, are you on top of it or are you just getting carried away by inertia?

Once you have taken the right step to regain health, it is tempting to take it easy and simply allow yourself to be carried away by inertia. But this is a frequent way of inviting a relapse into the original problem. Why? Imagine that your goal is to participate in a 10.000 meter dash. To get in shape, you run every day. When race day arrives, you are able to run the 10.000 meters without stopping. If you stopped training, would you expect your ability to run a 10.000-meter sprint to stay the same for the rest of your life? Of course not.

The health of your spine

The same goes for the health of your spine. Perhaps you receive chiropractic care to relieve pain or take care of a particular health issue, and you dedicate yourself to the process…. Until you feel better. It's like the day of the 10.000-meter dash! But not continuing with your care once you feel better interrupts the healing process and amounts to letting yourself be carried away by inertia. Just like running, those results won't last the rest of your life if you quit now. In fact, the longest lasting changes occur with continued treatment after symptoms subside.

Do you get carried away by inertia? Do you know someone who does? No problem. Just remember that we will be here to help you when you are ready to start pedaling again!

It would be more helpful to receive a chiropractic adjustment or two!
